OncePDF started because we were tired of "free" online tools that were slow, clunky, and honestly, a bit sketchy with our data. We thought, "Why should it be this hard?" and decided to build something better.
Our "Browser-First" Obsession
Most PDF sites today follow a weird, old-school model. You give them your sensitive files, they upload them to a server, process them, and then you have to download them back. Not only is that slow, but it's a huge privacy headache. Who wants their tax returns or resumes sitting on someone else's server?
We do things differently. Whenever we can, we move the "brain power" directly into your browser using some cool modern tech (like WebAssembly and client-side AI). This means your files stay on your computer, where they belong. It's faster for you and much more secure for your data.

Since we don't see your data, we can't store it, lose it, or sell it. Simple as that.
