If you ever signed the contract , approved the invoice or filled the official form, you have probably used either a wet signature or a digital signature. At first I started to work with online documents, I thought both were basically the same because they both represented my approval.  But after spending more time handling business documents, agreements and online paperwork, I realized they are different.

Advantages of Wet Signatures 

I work with documents all the time but I still think traditional signatures are important. wet signature

Disadvantages of Wet Signatures

I think digital signatures are more secure. They are better than signatures because a handwritten signature can be copied. 

Sometimes people can even forge a signature. Digital signatures are perfect because they have a lot of security features. A digital signature includes encryption and identity verification and digital certificate and tamper detection. 

Digital signatures are like a lock that keeps the document safe. Wet signatures are not bad. They are not as good as digital signatures.

When I need to get things done quickly I always go with signatures. I used to do things this way with a wet signature. My process was pretty long. Here is what i had to do:

When someone asks me about the signing method i think is best i have to consider the situation. I think a wet signature is the way to go if the document needs to have a handwritten signature on it. This is also the case if a government agency or a lawyer needs a signature in ink. I use a signature when I am filling forms that cannot be done on the computer yet. 

On the other hand, I think a digital signature is the better choice if I want to get things quickly.  This is also true when I work from home. I prefer signatures when I need to make sure my documents are really secure. I use signatures a lot when I have to sign documents that are in PDF format. I also use them when I am working with clients or coworkers over the internet. I like that digital signatures give me a record of what happened. I prefer not to use paper when I am working. For things I do for work I think digital signatures are the more practical choice . They are also faster. I know that wet signatures are still important for some legal and administrative tasks.

For everyday work working with people in different places and managing documents online I always prefer digital signatures. Digital signatures save me time. They are more secure. They make it easy to store documents. They make it easy to share documents with other people.
